DexCom What is Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)?

Since I was diagnosed a few years back with late onset Type 1, I've been looking into the developing technology that would eliminate all the finger sticks, logging, and meter tracking. I found an article about the DexCom and plan on asking my endo about it next week. I think it would immensely increase my control. Not sure about the cost or healthcare coverage, I'll check back next week about the details. Occasionally, my endo will have a sample product she can give me. That would be awesome.
